Well, I sent off my first article for At the Bijou. I actually completed it about two weeks ago but my e-mail was having problems and every time I would send it, the e-mail got returned undelivered. Bijou Bob, due to an understandably overworked schedule, had referred me to his associate Ron, but for some reason every time I tried to contact Ron my e-mail wouldn’t get through. I finally sent my article to Bob, who passed it on to Ron and they are looking into my e-mail problem.
I should have put this up sooner. Every week I’ve been posting an episode of my first Greatest Serials Never Made on my pages section. After about seven weeks the header on the home page began to get over crowded. So I had the layout reconfigured a little. The serial chapters are still being posted every Sunday, only now you just scroll down to the listing of pages on the right side of the screen to get to it. And let me tell you, next week’s epidoe is going to be a humdinger.
Not a lot of news on new releases for the serial fan right now. Alpha Video is putting out a new single disc version of Shadow of the Eagle on the 26th of this month. VCI lists the release of Dick Tracy Returns, Dick Tracy’s G-Men, and Dick Tracy vs Crime Inc. but no dates are set at this time. They are still trying to restore Brenda Starr, Reporter, but as they are still missing two chapters, who knows when that will ever be coming out. No word yet on whether the Serial Squadron will be able to finagle a DVD release of Daredevils of the West after it’s debut at Serialfest in May, but one must always keep up hope on these things.
