Heroine of the Month: Lynn Gilbert

Not a lot of information is available about Lynn Gilbert. All I have been able to find is that she played in two Universal serials in 1937. In Secret Agent X-9 (1937), she had a small role as Rose, international jewel thief Brenda’s moll, who helped him with his schemes, but mainly hung around their apartment waiting to see if they had recovered their missing swag.
Her other serial was playing opposite Johnny Mack Brown in Wild West Days (1937), where Johnny and his two side kicks Bob Kortman (!?!) and Frank Yaconelli fight an Indian uprising caused by a local newspaper editor as a cover for his attempts to steal Gilbert’s hidden goldmine.
