Heroine of the Month: Delphine Drew

The serials are populated with many actors and actresses who only have one serial credit for their entire film resume. Such is the case of Delphine Drew. After a lot of searching online, all I can find is her one appearance in Universal’s Tailspin Tommy in the Great Air Mystery (1935).
Drew played Inez Casmetto, the daughter of an oil magnate, who hires Tommy to help fight her uncle who is trying to steal the company’s oil reserves on a South American island, with a mysterious masked pilot called The Eagle giving occasional aid as well. Drew also had tentative romance with Noah Berry, Jr’s Skeeter, as a counterpoint to the more enthusiastic romance between main characters Tommy and Betty.
