Back in the Serial Groove
(My apologies to Ace Frehley for the title of this post.) Boy it doesn’t take long to get the itch for something when you stop doing it. Not two days after stopping all serial watching I wanted to start up again. Unfortunately the first week of this month I was on vacation, we went to Disney World with my wife’s mother and sister in law (amazing how good a deal you can get for a group rate). So even though I wanted to watch serials I was unable to (for compensation I bought an official Indiana Jones hat so now I have an actual fedora like every good serial hero should have).
But when we got back I went serial crazy. In just five days I have watched King of the Rocket Men, Jesse James Rides Again and Zorro’s Black Whip in that order. I could have done it in two or three but I had this pesky thing called work to go to. Probably still won’t buy any new ones for awhile what with Christmas coming and presents needing to be bought (Families! What are you going to do?). But I must say it is good to be back in the groove.
