Villain of the Month: Beulah Hutton

Back in the early thirties if you were looking for a tough gun moll to help round out your gang, you got Beulah Hutton.  Her first serial was Universal’s Heroes of the Flames (1931) helping to keep Tim McCoy from perfecting his new chemical fire extinguisher.  Next she tried to vamp Kenneth Harlan into not helping Lucille Brown find radium in Danger Island (1931).

Her other serial villainy included helping the bad guys in Battling With Buffalo Bill (1931), Perils of Pauline (1934), Pirate Treasure (1934), The Vanishing Shadow (1934) and Tailspin Tommy (1934).  Hutton had some bit parts in High Tension (1936), Charlie Chan on Broadway (1937) and The Buccaneer (1938) before dropping out of acting.
