New Releases
VCI Entertainment’s current new releases include two western serials, Buck Jones’ White Eagle(1941) and Tom Tyler’s Battling With Buffalo Bill (1931). Upcoming releases include Bela Lugosi’s last serial The Phantom Creeps (1939) due out on 02/05/08, but the big news is the upcoming DVD of Dick Tracy Returns (1938), no release date has been announced yet. Alpha Video’s only current new serial release is a reissue of The Green Archer (1940), now on one disk instead of two seperate packages. AC Comics has only one new serial release, Perils of the Darkest Jungle (1943), but have several ucoming titles including Dick Tracy’s G-Men (1939), Mandrake the Magician (1939), Daredevils of the Red Circle (1939), and The Black Widow (1947). The Serial Squadon currently is offering The Phantom Empire (1935), The Lone Ranger Rides Again (1939), and King of the Mounties (1942). Restored Serials is offering the rarly seen Young Eagles (1934). Finally Cheezy Flicks is currently offering G-Men vs the Black Dragon (1943), Jesse James Rides Again (1947), and King of the Rocketmen (1949).
